Getting there
- Walk west out of the Boneyard. It's for Combat 40 to 49.
- It's a second route, not the next step. At Combat 40 you can go north to Cloudreach or west to here. Each has its own ore, tree and fish, and neither is ahead of the other.
What to gather
| What | Needs | Gives |
|---|---|---|
| Sand pits (five of them) | Mining 20 | sand — 45 xp |
| Stardust seams | Mining 50 | stardust — 150 xp |
| Date palms | Woodcutting 45 | palm logs — 190 xp |
| The oasis | Fishing 40 / 48 | oasis perch, temple carp |
Alchemy
- This is where Alchemy lives. The sand pits are the start of that whole chain.
- The game's only cauldron stands under the temple colonnade in the middle of the map.
- Sand is Mining 20 on purpose, far below the map's own level. The hard part is meant to be getting here, not a second grind once you arrive.
- Stardust used to have just one rock in the whole game. There are two more here.
What lives here
- Sand Cobras (41) in the dunes and Gilt Scarabs (45) around the pits. The cobra drops the fang and the scarab the shell, and both go into the best potions.
- Bandaged Debtors (43) wander the temple grounds, and Tomb Jackals (47) guard the pyramid.
- Everything waits for you to hit it first, except one jackal by the pyramid door, which comes at you on sight.
The Great Pyramid
It stands on the eastern skyline, and the tomb door is open. It's a party dungeon like the Crypt: two to eight of you each pay an ante, get your own copy of the tomb, and climb four chambers to something very old at the top. See The Great Pyramid.
