The new bosses

Seven bosses walk the maps between the Mire and the Trailer Park. Anyone who lands a blow shares the kill, so bring friends.

How it works

  • Each boss stands in one spot on its map and comes back on its own timer after it falls.
  • Anyone who lands a blow shares the kill and rolls the whole loot table.
  • None of them is immune to melee. Each has one or two things to watch out for, listed below, and most of them dislike one element.
  • Every boss gives a trophy piece, and each one carries one piece of gear nobody else drops. Kevin, Grandma and the Goose can also leave their soul behind for a Necromancer, and Kevin and Grandma carry a recipe card.

The bosses

BossLevelWhereBack inWhat it doesIts own drop
Kevin24The Lantern Mire20 minA very large man in a hi-vis vest, on a lunch break that started in 1994. He swings slowly and hits like a lorry (Brutal): step in between the swings.Kevin's hard hat (1.1%)
Lord Mumbles36The Boneyard20 minThe Boneyard's last lord, still giving a speech nobody can make out. He mutters curses from three tiles and 10% of them land for triple (Precise). Sunlight shuts him up.Lord Mumbles' signet (1.2%)
Grandma46Cloudreach25 minUp in the clouds with a rolling pin and opinions. Every hit she lands feeds a fifth of it back to her (Vampiric), and under 30% health she goes half again as fast (Frenzied): finish her quickly.Grandma's reading glasses (1.3%)
The Sand Pharaoh47The Golden Sands25 minA king of the dunes who would not stay buried, wrapped in linen and gold, crook in one hand and flail in the other. Slow and heavy (Brutal); fire and frost barely touch him.Gilded burial wraps (1.3%)
The Goose66The Carnival30 minNobody brought it to the Carnival and nobody can make it leave. It attacks a third faster than anything its size (Swift), and worse under 30% health (Frenzied). Lightning ruffles it.Goose-step boots (1.4%)
The Weather78The Thunderhead35 minThe Thunderhead's own bad mood, with a face. It throws hail and lightning from four tiles (Precise: 10% of them for triple), shrugs off storm and frost, and the sun breaks it up.Weathervane amulet (1.5%)
Gary, Who Keeps Everything92The Trailer Park40 minUnder that heap is a man called Gary, and he is not throwing any of it away. It might come in handy. Brutal swings, Frenzied under 30% health, and the junk soaks up arrows and spells: a quarter more from melee.Gary's keys (1.7%)
