The Depths of the Mountain
Ledges of mossy rock over a bottomless drop, with monsters 73 to 84 that each shrug off a whole fighting style. Pick the right weapon before you pick a fight.

Before you go
- Where: between The Thunderhead (south) and The Trailer Park (east).
- There's no level check to start a fight: nothing stops you, and nothing down there is gentle.
- Most monsters here ignore a whole fighting style, and they hit 40 to 60% harder than the Vault's at the same level. Check the "Takes" column below first.
- A sword does nothing to a wisp over the drop, arrows shatter on the crystal ogres, and the iron ogre lets through Void magic and very little else.
What lives there
| Monster | Level | Health | Takes | Weak to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pot Boy | 73 | 2,700 | 75% less from Magic | Storm |
| Goblin Cutter | 75 | 2,500 | every style in full | Frost |
| Abyss Wisp | 76 | 2,300 | nothing from Melee; 90% less from Magic | Sun |
| Crystal Ogre | 78 | 4,300 | 90% less from Archery | Storm |
| Iron Ogre | 80 | 4,700 | 170% from Melee (weak to melee); 90% less from Archery; only Void magic gets through | Void |
| The Deepwarden (boss) | 84 | 111,000 | every style in full | Sun |
The Deepwarden
- The mountain's keeper: level 84, 111,000 health, and everyone who hurts him shares the kill.
- Below 35% he plants his greatsword and hits 40% harder. Bring friends.
- The prize is
The Mountain's Heart, from 1.6% of Deepwardens: a ring that doubles how often a jewel turns up in the rock. He also has
Deepwarden's sigil and, now and then, the Pot Boy at his heel.

The abyss crystal goes to the jewelers, and the veins are the richest gem rock in the game.
