The Primeval Valley
Three maps of cavemen, sabretooths, mammoths, raptors and pterodactyls north of The Trailer Park. It's an archer's country: bring a bow.

Before you go
- The maps, climbing north: The Primeval Valley (Combat 90, or Archery 40 with a bow).
- A bow and Archery 40 opens all three, whatever your Combat. The last one starts past Combat's 99, so a bow is the only way in there.
- Most monsters sit up on ledges and plateaus that only an arrow can reach.
How fighting works here
- An arrow lands at least 50% of the time here, whatever the monster's defence, so an archer in the 40s can do real work.
- The flyers and the big beasts take far more from arrows, and nothing at all from a sword.

Bosses and gilded monsters
- The Mammoth Matriarch stands on the great plateau of The Primeval Valley: level 108, 219,500 health, arrows only. Everyone who hurts her shares the kill.
- Old Rex sits on his throne on the high plateau of The Primeval Valley: level 110, 232,500 health, and only arrows reach him.
- The Golden Raptor. About 0.2% of raptors come back gilded instead. Everything it drops is worth ten times the plain one, and it's the most likely thing in the valley to drop a
Raptor-claw ring.
